As a newborn and milestone photographer in Midland, TX, I love capturing these once-in-a-lifetime moments, and this little guy made my job easy. His theme? Rookie of the Year—perfect for his all-star personality!

A Happy One-Year-Old with a Winning Smile


From the moment he arrived at my studio, this birthday boy was all smiles. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever met a happier one-year-old! His mom wanted to focus on capturing his big personality rather than a traditional cake smash, which was a fun twist on my usual milestone sessions. Instead of the usual cake-filled mess, we focused on outfit changes and those bright-eyed, joyful expressions.

Two Unique Setups for a Special First Birthday


For his milestone session, we did two different setups. His mom requested a color palette of blues, silver, and white for the first set, which gave the photos a clean and classic look. The soft tones made his bright eyes pop, and he looked absolutely adorable in his outfit!


The second setup brought in a little more color to add variety to his gallery. This setup was all about fun, energy, and showing off his Rookie of the Year theme in a playful way. I loved how both turned out, and it was so sweet watching him explore and giggle through the session.
